Maggie is looking for Pat LEE (nee BALL).  We joined up at HASLAR  in 1962  - JENNER CLASS. Pat married a RFA Officer – Dave LEE and they settled in New South Wales, Australia. We lost touch over the years but Maggie would dearly love to make contact again as she and her husband  Ivor are visiting Oz in 2011.

Louise Westwood (nee Jones)

I joined Haslar in June 1967 to do SEN training. I later went into higher education, become a historian and university lecturer. I am currently researching education and work from the 1950s to the 1990s. I would like to hear from anyone who joined the QAs in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, particularly those who went to secondary modern school having failed the 11+.  I hope that ex naval nurses can provide some information on the qualifications they had to begin training in the QAs and some thoughts on the current proposals for an all graduate nursing profession.
If you would like to contribute to my research please contact me and I will send you a questionnaire and further details.

Louise Clapperton

I am trying to trace a girl that I was at school with. Lorraine Slater is Scottish with Red hair and will be 40 in January. She left school in 1988 to join QARNNS - I think she would have joined straight from school in '88. She was medically paid of - perhaps around 1995 due to a back injury. The last I heard was that she was married with a child. If anyone knows of her and can give me any information then it would be gratefully received.

Wendy Morgan (nee I'Anson).

I am one of the 'oldies' of the service being a Red Cross VAD first when I joined in 1959 and then joining the newly formed QARNNS-my number was 0011. So is there any of my friends from RNH Chatham or RNH Bighi out there? I am still in contact with my friends, Dorothy Hewitt, Jean Goldthorp and Cathy Haney -now all married and like me with families. We have been meeting up at the UJC talking over old times and wondering what has happened to all our friends from Chatham and Malta.
