Welcome to the QARNNS Association website.

The Association is a registered charity and encompasses all serving personnel, Reserves and retired members of the QARNNS, as well as VAD’s (RN).

Initially formed in 1970, there were separate Ratings’ and Officers’ Associations, but in 2007 they amalgamated, and we now have 815 members.

There is a joining fee of £10 and an annual subscription of £5 payable each June. The money helps to cover the cost of the twice yearly newsletters, and also donations to nominated charities.

Details of how to join are provided by Mrs Jan Tocher, Membership Secretary.  Application forms can be obtained from this website, or by writing to her at the address given.

We have a reunion and Annual General Meeting, initially held in September, but as of 2013 to be held in June at selected venues across the country. Our 2008 AGM was held at The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. This is home to the Armed Forces Memorial, a stunning structure unveiled in October 2007, which is engraved with the names of all those service personnel who have died whilst on duty or from acts of terrorism since the second world war. There are also several other categories of memorial, both military and civil, within the extensive grounds. We took the opportunity to visit the site dedicated to the QARNNS, and have since dedicated a new memorial which can be seen on the QARNNS Memorial page.

There are Regional Branches of varying sizes, to which members may belong having joined the main Association. These hold a number of social activities and meetings throughout the year.

Having information about the Association on the QARNNS web site is a new and exciting development, which we hope will encourage new members and invigorate old ones!
